Toronto, ON (June 8, 2009) – MuchMusic announced today an effing awesome lineup of musicians, movie stars, TV stars, and athletes appearing as presenters on the 2009 MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS, airing live on Sunday, June 21 at 9 p.m. ET. Before the killer show kicks off, the MMVAs fandemonium frenzy erupts with a slew of celebrities, known for arriving in style and sashaying down the infamous MMVAs red carpet. The MMVAs 09 RED CARPET SPECIAL airs live on Sunday, June 21 at 8 p.m. ET.
MuchMusic provides Twi-hard fans with a public service as Twilight and New Moon stars Taylor Lautner and Rachelle Lefevre join THE HILLS’ resident bad boy and notorious lothario Brody Jenner, along with fellow cast member Audrina Patridge to heat up the red carpet. The Hollywood elite get schooled by MMVAs red carpet veterans Marianas Trench and nominee heavyweight Danny Fernandes, while the sizzling stars of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA, including Season 1 winner Nico Archambault and Top 4 contender Natalli Reznik, bring the beat back. But it certainly doesn’t stop there as the MMVAs mercury keeps rising as reality star and bootylicious bombshell Kim Kardashian and gossip-worthy GOSSIP GIRL stars Jessica Szohr and Ed Westwick pose for the cameras. Hollywood royalty spawn Rumer Willis schmoozes alongside blogger extraordinaire Perez Hilton, while international sports superstars Chris Bosh and Alexander Ovechkin bring their A-game. See below for a full list of presenters.
“The MMVAs is a star-gazer’s dream, with ultimate fan access from start to finish,” said Sheila Sullivan, Director of Programming, Much MTV Group, CTV Inc. “The craziness of the arrivals, the energy and shrieks from the fans, and their sheer proximity to the stars is what makes the MMVAs red carpet unlike any other red carpet in the world.” |

Chris Bosh Gets Return of "Chrisbosh.com" and $120K Judgment CHICAGO, May 7, 2009 -- Chris Bosh, Toronto Raptors forward, his digital marketing firm Max Deal Technologies, his agent, Henry Thomas, and his law firm, Winston & Strawn LLP, announced the recovery of the domain "chrisbosh.com". The return of the domain follows an April decision in federal court for the Southern District of California.
The court ordered that Luis Zavala, and his company Hoopology.com, which registered the domain "chrisbosh.com", turn over the domain to Bosh and cease all infringing conduct. The infringing website displayed ads using Chris Bosh's name to generate revenue for Zavala and Hoopology.com, and had no actual association to Bosh. Zavala and Hoopology.com currently own nearly 800 other domains incorporating the names of various professional athletes, college and high school athletes as well as well-known entertainers, product names and other entertainment properties.
"I am very happy with this ruling," said Chris Bosh, a four-time NBA all star, and Olympic gold medalist. "My intent was to make sure that consumers find me when they are looking for me on the Internet, rather than a website that is confusing and tries make money off my name and my intellectual property."

When Bradd Arseneau walked into his mother's classroom at Bathurst High School earlier this month, he was just looking for lunch money. Less than a week later, the 17-year-old son of Randy Arseneau and Peggy O'Neil Arseneau was en route to Toronto to join some of the biggest names in sport in a national advertising campaign for Gatorade. "He walks into my class looking for his lunch money," laughed his mother, who teaches at the school where her son is a Grade 12 student. "And I said, 'I have some good news for you.'" The makers of the Gatorade sports drink wanted to know if the BHS basketball player wanted to to be part of a major advertising campaign. He'd be appearing with the likes of National Hockey League legend Gordie Howe, Caissie Campbell, the Olympic gold-medal winning hockey player; and mixed martial arts star George St. Pierre. "I kind of didn't believe it," said Arseneau of the news that came with his lunch money. "I thought it would just be an interview type of thing." |
