Merry Xmas - Im Back Home In Dallas (Blog) |

Merry Christmas everyone! I thought it would be appropriate to start off by saying that.
I just landed home in Dallas. We finally got a much needed win tonight against the Clippers. I had an ok game and it's a good feeling going into these couple of off days after a win. Sometimes losing can just drain you.
Anyway, enough about basketball. I'm home now! And it's COLD! Texas always has flip flop weather so I guess this is a low point right now.
To all of my last-minute Christmas shoppers out there, I feel your pain right now. I stil have a couple of things to get myself. I know I'll pull through because I always do. It's something about that last-minute pressure that makes me choose the perfect gift for my friends and family.
So with that said, I'm about to enjoy my time at home and get in the holiday spirit. Merry Christmas everyone!!!! P.S - Facebook had issues and closed my last account please re-add me

Chris Bosh Reviews 'Twilight' the Book (Blog) |
|
Wednesday, 17 December 2008 |
Recently the book "Twilight" was recommended to me by a friend of mine. I've been reading it for the past week and I wasn't suprised by the fact that it's a love story because my friend is a female. What up Twin! ... She knows who she is.
Anyway, I'm almost done with the book and its been pretty decent so far. I'm used to reading books with a lot of action in it and it hasn't gotten to that part yet. It has vampires in it so it has to have some kind of excitement in it. As of yet, just mushiness. I know that might not be a word, but work with me. You know what I'm trying to say.
They actually made a movie based on the book with the same title. It came out about 2 1/2 weeks ago and it did very well in the box office. I've heard a lot of mixed opinions about the film so far. If I hear mixed opinions, I usually just wait until the movie comes out on DVD before I see it at the theatres because nothing's worse than paying for a movie that isn't good.
This book is actually the first of a 4 part series and it seems like a good start. One thing I can say is that I don't think it's better than the Harry Potter series. J.K. Rowling raised the bar becuase Harry Potter was so entertaining. I'm sure that makes it tough for people trying to write a series of books in the future. The Harry Potter movies are also pretty good so and it's made my standard pretty high.
I'm almost done with the book so I'll be checking out the movie very soon. Hopefully it'll be good. |

Wishing Sam Mitchell Nothing But the Best (Blog) |
|
Saturday, 06 December 2008 |
What's up?! I know.... It's been a while since I've written. A lot has happened, but I'll keep it brief.
As you all know, we recently had a coaching change. First of all I would to thank Sam Mitchell for everything that he gave to the organization. I wish him nothing but success as he moves on in the future.
Tonight is our first game under Jay Triano. I'm comfortable with Jay because he's been with the Raptors since I've been there. I think he is going to do a great job. As a team we have to make sure we bounce back and play the type of basketball I know we can play.
Other than basketball I've just been trying to cope with the freezing weather. It's hasn't really snowed really bad in Toronto so that's a plus for me.
I'm working on my next video too. Its getting tougher because I'm tryin to keep my ideas fresh and I always want it to be good. I'll be ok though. I think that pressure is always good for you.
Well, I'm off to shootaround. We finally have a game on ESPN! Hopefully we'll do really well and they'll pick us up for more games. Also, vote for me for the All-Star Game! It would be greatly appreciated. |

TORONTO - Toronto Raptors player Chris Bosh and Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada (BGCC) have teamed up to help kids “shoot for their best in life.” Bosh was named a national spokesperson for Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada during a pre-game cheque presentation at the Nov. 23 Raptors versus Celtics game in Toronto. In recognition of this honour, Bosh will donate $75,000 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. The money will be used to support an arts and culture grants program for children and youth who attend the clubs. "Growing up, I had a lot of opportunities that many other kids didn’t,” said Bosh. “I have done well and want to give other kids that same chance at being their best." Bosh is appearing in a national public awareness campaign that BGCC has developed to help increase donor support. The campaign highlights the positive impact the organization has on 200,000 children and youth across Canada annually in offering programs that promote their healthy physical, educational and social development. The BGCC public awareness campaign launched on Monday, Nov. 24 and includes a 30-second TV commercial, print ad and online fundraising "click campaign" both on Bosh's official website (www.chris-bosh.com) and on the BGCC site (www.bgccan.com), where he will encourage basketball fans and others to "help kids shoot to be their best" by donating to Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. To find out more about how to help Canadian children and youth shoot for their best in life, go to www.bgccan.com. "We are so thrilled that Chris has chosen to lend his name as a fantastic role model for kids to Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada, as well as his personal support for the artistic aspirations and talents of our kids through this generous donation," said Pam Jolliffe, president and CEO of Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. “As a Boys and Girls Club alumnus, Chris is also an ideal figure to be promoting the value of the Clubs for kids.” About Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada: The organization is a leading provider of programs to children and youth that support the healthy physical, educational and social development of 200,000 young people and their families each year. In 700 community locations across Canada, clubs offer programs, after school and at other times when kids are not in school, in physical recreation, technology, the arts, personal growth and more. Many clubs also provide meals, emergency shelter, family support programs and other supports to children, youth and families at risk. Boys and Girls Clubs have been helping young Canadians to discover, develop and achieve their potential for over 100 years. About The Chris Bosh Foundation: The Chris Bosh Foundation promotes social enrichment, education and physical fitness among youth. The foundation assists youth in reaching their educational and athletic goals through mentoring and by setting examples in the community. |
