Game 2 Is Today So We Get Another Crack (CB4 Blog) |

 Well... Game 2 is today so we get another crack at getting a road win against the Magic. We've made a few adjustments to how we guard their plays better so I think it will work. In Game 1 they hit a lot of 3's because they did a great job of breaking us down off of the dribble so we have to do much better in Game 2. The Magic did a great job of playing defense on me too. Rashard Lewis fronted me in the post whenever he got the chance to and when I did catch it, they had Jameer and Dwight waiting on me to if I got by him. It's tough, but that's what the playoffs are about, you have to be tough. After game 1 me and Dwight got the chance to hang out. We went to get something to eat and hung around after because it was still pretty early in the day. It's cool to be able to sit down and chat with a friend after playing so hard and trying to win in the most hostile situation you can play in. We always play hard on the court and sometimes we're even matched up against each other, but we leave it all on the court. Even if we do talk about it afterwards, it's never any hard feelings. I'll say this one thing and then I'm going to get ready for the game. I've waited the whole year to play on national TV and we've been fortunate to have played on ESPN and ABC and I'm very thankful. In the playoffs, every game is on TNT, ABC, ESPN and a small number of games are on NBA TV. I know that a lot of people that have cable don't have NBA TV because you have to pay extra for it. Out of the four playoff games that NBA TV is showing, we're in 3 of them. Man... Nothing against NBA TV, but I just wish that we could play on ABC, TNT and ESPN more because that's what everyone watches. I thought we were going to have that chance when the playoffs started, but I guess that many people don't want to see us play yet. So if you have NBA TV, please watch our game today. |

Expressing My Disappointment In Stephen A. Smith |

 I'll start this blog off by expressing my disappointment in Stephen A. Smith. I was watching ESPN earlier today and they were breaking down each and every playoff match-up like they do every year. When our time came up, he began to criticize us like I knew he would, but criticism never bothers me. What bothered me is that he made certain personal comments towards me. His remarks were not funny and I don't understand why he would say something like that about me. My friends that watched it thought that I had done something to him or said something about him in the past. The thing that bothers me most is that every time I see him, I say hello and shake his hand. The comments he made had nothing to do with basketball and I feel that he has something agaisnt me and that really makes me upset. That just goes to show you that some people will forget about mutual respect and try and bring you down (even if you haven't done anything to them) just for some attention.
On a lighter note, we're here in Orlando and getting ready for this series that we have coming up. I've waited a whole year to get back here and I'm really excited about this time around. I brought my laptop and my XBOX with some movies so I'll be entertained. I'm really focused right now and all I do is watch film, practice, eat, watch movies and play video games. You have to win to keep the season alive so I'm preparing for every game like it might be my last. I know guys on other teams are thinking the same thing.
Speaking of other teams, I think this year's playoffs is going to be one of the most dramatic post-seasons in a while. If you break it down, pretty much every series in the West is tough. The Suns vs. Spurs and Rockets vs. Jazz series are re-matches of last year and all of those teams are threats to make it to the Finals. In the Cavs vs. Wizards series it could be getting personal because guys from each team have been exchanging words since the last time they played earlier in the season. That always makes great basketball. And of course you have the Raptors vs. Megic series and let me tell you... If you watch that one, you'll be in for a real treat!

Spring Is Here (Despite The Cold Weather) And The Playoffs Are Right Around The Corner |

 What's going on everyone? Things are going pretty well for me. Spring is here (despite the cold weather) and the playoffs are right around the corner, so there's definitely a buzz around the city.
For all of the gamers out there, I finally have my gamertag going. The tag is XBOSH LIVE to all who want to play or add me as a friend. I know the name of it is kind of extra, but Microsoft picked it out for me. It made me laugh a little when I heard it. I've played online under it a couple of times and a lot of people didn't think it was me. A lot of people were trying to invite me to private chat or send me messages, but I didn't apply to many of them. One dude was saying "you're a fake!!!", and it really made me laugh. Sometimes I want to say something, but some people online say crazy stuff so its no telling what I'd hear. So far I've only played Halo and most of the people who ask me to play are pretty good. I know I'm an okay player, but I'm definitely playing against higher competition. I should be pretty good in a little while so watch out for me.
If you've been watching the standings in the Eastern Conference, you've seen that we're in a three way tie for 5th place with the Sixers and Wizards. With only 7 games left its getting pretty intense becuase to tell the truth, no one wants to go Detroit in the first round. A common question I get from the media is "do you have a preference of who you play in the playoffs?". Let me tell you guys something. I don't care who we play in the post-season, I just want to play. If I had a preference and I told the press, of course they're going to print it. After they do that, how do you think that will make another team feel? They're going to get pumped up to play us and plus, it'll start a lot of mess that no one wants to deal with. So I will play anyone as long as it's the playoffs.
