Chris Bosh Here ... Blogging and Tweeting My Way to Phoenix |
|
Thursday, 12 February 2009 |
Gentlemen and ladies, here is a picture of the Sheraton Hotel (the official players hotel) and you can see some of the massive posters and billboards that have gone up. This one is backwards because it's shot from the inside. I'm not in Phoenix yet, but one of my friends took this and sent it to me. He tells me that the lobby is buzzing with agents and NBA officials waiting on the first batch of players to get here. Lots of families and wives are here also. The weather is warm, sky's clear, and he says the city is buzzing, ready for players to arrive!
I arrive this morning! Even though I'm not playing, I still can't wait to get down there. In the meantime, make sure to follow me on Twitter. I tweet pretty much every day, and will continue to do so from Phoenix. And subscribe to my RSS feed on FanHouse for all my blog updates. Talk soon! |

I know I'm late, But I haven't Blogged In A While (January 28'th Blog) |

Happy New Year everyone! I know I'm late, but I haven't blogged in a while. Things have been moving fast since Christmas and I'm doing some catching up.
Before I say anything else, I'd like to say congrats to all of the guys who got voted in to the 2009 All-Star game in Phoenix. Big ups to my boy Dwight Howard for killing the voting ballots and setting a new high with 3,000,000+ votes! That's some big time stuff right there. I was amazed when I heard that. GREAT JOB!!!!
They'll be naming the reserves in the next couple of days and I'll have to admit... I'm pretty nervous. I've always enjoyed participating in All-Star Weekend and I really hope that I make it. Not to mention being an All-Star is a great honor that I take a lot of pride in. There's a part of me that's very confident, but there's another part of me that has doubts about it. I know we're not having the season that was expected of us up to date and I know that may hurt my chances, but I just have to wait it out, stay positive and see what happens.
Other than that I've been doing a lot of thinking on changing up the format of my blog right now. I've always enjoyed looking at and reading blogs on the internet like Hypebeast, Kanye West's blog, Lifehacker and Engadget. The format of them is neat, organized and the material is always fresh and up to date. Because of that, I enjoy going to them everyday because I know I'll check out something new and there are a lot of pictures to go with what a specific blog is about. They're very simple, yet entertaining and informing. It's also a way for me to show what I'm interested in because my likes and tastes go so much further than ball. I enjoy art, music, clothes and other sports just to name a few. I think I have a lot to talk about and hopefully people will find it interesting.
I want mine to be like the ones that I named because they cover a lot of ground and I think it's pretty dope the way they lay it out. I know it's going to be a lot work, but I'm up to the challenge. When I'm looking on the net and I see a great web page or a well put together blog I always think, "That's a great idea. Why didn't I come up with something like". This is my chance to give it a shot. I love chris-bosh.com so to me I treat it just like anything else you love doing. You want to be good at it and you know you'll be able to so you practice on your skill to get better.
Hopefully I'll be changing it in the next few weeks so it can be nice, fresh and new so be on the lookout. Wish me luck!

Merry Xmas - Im Back Home In Dallas (Blog) |
|
Tuesday, 23 December 2008 |
|
Merry Christmas everyone! I thought it would be appropriate to start off by saying that.
I just landed home in Dallas. We finally got a much needed win tonight against the Clippers. I had an ok game and it's a good feeling going into these couple of off days after a win. Sometimes losing can just drain you.
Anyway, enough about basketball. I'm home now! And it's COLD! Texas always has flip flop weather so I guess this is a low point right now.
To all of my last-minute Christmas shoppers out there, I feel your pain right now. I stil have a couple of things to get myself. I know I'll pull through because I always do. It's something about that last-minute pressure that makes me choose the perfect gift for my friends and family.
So with that said, I'm about to enjoy my time at home and get in the holiday spirit. Merry Christmas everyone!!!! P.S - Facebook had issues and closed my last account please re-add me

Chris Bosh Reviews 'Twilight' the Book (Blog) |
|
Wednesday, 17 December 2008 |
Recently the book "Twilight" was recommended to me by a friend of mine. I've been reading it for the past week and I wasn't suprised by the fact that it's a love story because my friend is a female. What up Twin! ... She knows who she is.
Anyway, I'm almost done with the book and its been pretty decent so far. I'm used to reading books with a lot of action in it and it hasn't gotten to that part yet. It has vampires in it so it has to have some kind of excitement in it. As of yet, just mushiness. I know that might not be a word, but work with me. You know what I'm trying to say.
They actually made a movie based on the book with the same title. It came out about 2 1/2 weeks ago and it did very well in the box office. I've heard a lot of mixed opinions about the film so far. If I hear mixed opinions, I usually just wait until the movie comes out on DVD before I see it at the theatres because nothing's worse than paying for a movie that isn't good.
This book is actually the first of a 4 part series and it seems like a good start. One thing I can say is that I don't think it's better than the Harry Potter series. J.K. Rowling raised the bar becuase Harry Potter was so entertaining. I'm sure that makes it tough for people trying to write a series of books in the future. The Harry Potter movies are also pretty good so and it's made my standard pretty high.
I'm almost done with the book so I'll be checking out the movie very soon. Hopefully it'll be good. |

Wishing Sam Mitchell Nothing But the Best (Blog) |
|
Saturday, 06 December 2008 |
What's up?! I know.... It's been a while since I've written. A lot has happened, but I'll keep it brief.
As you all know, we recently had a coaching change. First of all I would to thank Sam Mitchell for everything that he gave to the organization. I wish him nothing but success as he moves on in the future.
Tonight is our first game under Jay Triano. I'm comfortable with Jay because he's been with the Raptors since I've been there. I think he is going to do a great job. As a team we have to make sure we bounce back and play the type of basketball I know we can play.
Other than basketball I've just been trying to cope with the freezing weather. It's hasn't really snowed really bad in Toronto so that's a plus for me.
I'm working on my next video too. Its getting tougher because I'm tryin to keep my ideas fresh and I always want it to be good. I'll be ok though. I think that pressure is always good for you.
Well, I'm off to shootaround. We finally have a game on ESPN! Hopefully we'll do really well and they'll pick us up for more games. Also, vote for me for the All-Star Game! It would be greatly appreciated. |
