I'm Back On North American Turf! (Live Blog From Toronto) |
|
Friday, 12 October 2007 |

I'm back on North American turf! We just landed a couple of hours ago, fresh out from Europe. Madrid, Rome and Treviso were cool, but there's nothing like home. I didn't sleep at all last night so I could sleep on the plane all the way here and get back on the right time zone. I'm tired right now, but I can't go to sleep so I'm trying to run a couple of errands around the city to keep myself busy.
It was kind of tough watching the game from the sidelines yesterday. We played Real Madrid at their place and they were pretty good. You could tell they've been playing for a while because they were in sync with each other. |

We have finally started the pre-season! (Live Blog from Italy!) |

We have finally started the pre-season! We opened up with the Celtics tonight in Rome. A lot of people showed up to the game and I think we played well for the first time out. KG, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce play well together. We played well together too, but I think some guys were really nervous and excited so we came out kind of frantic. I played OK. I'm still trying to get back in the swing of things. Since I didn't get to play a lot during the summer (because of my foot), I have to catch up with everyone else, but I'll get it done.
I'm looking forward to playing KG a lot more this season too. He's one of the best competitors in the league and he brings it every night. Since I watched him growing up so much, it's real cool to go up against him.

It's Almost Time For The Season To Begin |
|
Monday, 24 September 2007 |
|
Well, it's almost time for the season to begin and I can't wait. It's been a great summer, so I can't complain. I just got back from L.A. to do an episode of Family Feud. The theme of the show was NBA Players against their mothers.
It was me Dwight Howard, David Lee, Cutino Mobley, Grant Hill and Richard Jefferson. Of course we won and we were able to raise money for a couple of children's charities. I also got a chance to go and see Senator Hilary Clinton speak at an event at Magic Johnson's house. It was really interesting being there because it was a very big event and there were a lot of important people there. Afterwards my girlfriend and I got the chance to sit down and talk with Senator Clinton and Magic. She actually knew who I was because she said her husband, President Bill Clinton, is a big fan of basketball. Seeing Magic Johnson's house was pretty crazy too. He has the most trophies I've ever seen in one place! Everybody knows he has some NBA, MVP trophies on his mantle, but he has a Grammy too. I couldn't believe that. |

The summer's going great so far! |
|
Wednesday, 08 August 2007 |
The summer's going great so far. I haven't blogged in a while so a lot has happened since then. USA Basketball kicked off last week and it went pretty well for myself as well as the whole team. We had practice for three days trying to get back into the flow of basketball. I got to hang out with Dwight Howard again, who is extremely silly if you didn't know. I also hung around Tyson Chandler for the first time. He's a real cool, down to earth guy. It's funny how you think someone might be mean before you talk to them just by the way they look when they're on the court. I wonder how many people think that about me? Kevin Durant was there too and he did well also. He's a cool guy and he's going to be pretty good as he continues to play. I've seen him play on TV, but I didn't know he could shoot the ball that well. |
