Tomorrow's A Huge Day For The NBA |
|
Wednesday, 25 June 2008 |
What's up everyone! Tomorrow's a huge day for the NBA. Especially for the Raptors. I'm actually in Toronto right now working out and taking care of some things at my house. I know that their are a lot of trade rumors with our team so guys are working around the clock in the head office right now.
I'm really excited to see what's going to happen in the next 24 hours. There are so many teams that are looking to make changes to improve their teams. And all of that mixed with the draft tomorrow night makes for a lot of excitement. I wish I could tell everyone what we're working on, but I can't do it. I'm sure you guys understand. It's only a day and a half left so just be patient.
I want to say thank you for everyone's support in regards with the U.S. National Team. I'm really proud to be representing my country in Beijing for the Olympics. I used to dream of this when I saw the Dream Team win it back in '92 so it's surreal for me. I can't wait to get everything going because it's always a lot of fun being around the other guys. I think we have a great chance.
Everyone from the team is getting together this weekend for an orientation and a couple of practices out in Vegas. I'm ready to get rolling! I might see some shows or something while I'm out there. I know I'm not going to hit the tables so you don't have to worry about that. Look out for us next month. We'll be playing Canada next month in Vegas in an exhibition and I'm sure it's going to be on TV.
I'll write something else after the draft is over. Until then, TTYL! |

Chris Bosh Adventures In Boston (Blog) |
|
Friday, 06 June 2008 |
With me being in Boston, I had the oppurtunity the check out the Red Sox play at the world famous Fenway Park last night. It was the craziest sports atmosphere that I've ever seen and I've been to some spectacular events. The reason I say that is because it was a cold and rainy Wednesday night against the Devil Rays, a non-rival team, and the place was packed!
Baseball teams play 162 games a year and this was probably around their 25th home game. There were people everywhere. Some people even buy tickets just to get in the stadium to watch the whole game standing up! They actually have a stand only section and people were I mean, it was one of 81 regular season games and there's not an empty seat in the house and people are standing. The whole stadium even sung a song in unison in the middle of the 8th inning. You had to be there to see and hear it. It was crazy!
I though I knew the true meaning of pride, but these Boston fans have showed me a new meaning. They even started chanting "BEAT LA" during the game.
Now I want to see a ball game at Wrigley Field and Yankee Stadium and see what those place are like. Those are some classic ballparks and I'm pretty sure they have some big time pride as well.
I had a good time though. I ended up buying a Red Sox sweatshirt because I only had a short sleeve shirt so I hope my friends don't hold it against me. I didn't want to get sick.
Well... I'm in the Garden right now waiting to do the Leno show. Its about 4 hours before tip-off so I have a little bit of free time on my hands. If you ever get the chance, go to Fenway Park and check out a Sox game. You'll have a blast. |

The Summer's Great (Chris Bosh On Jay Leno!) |
|

The season has been over for a little while for me. The summer's great, but I would love to be playing for a championship right now or at least for a few more games. We had a very long season, so I guess I'm just going through some post-season withdrawl right now.
I've noticed that there's a lot of hype surrounding basketball right now because of the Finals match up between Boston and the Lakers. To tell the truth, I really don't remember the rivalry between Bird and Magic when it actually happened. I mean, I was only 4 years old so and it's hard to go that far back into my memory banks. The way I really know about it is through documentation Magic, Bird and old game film that they always show.
Another thing I've noticed, is that the fans and people involved with both sides have so much pride and you always hear them representing their sides to the fullest. That made me want to stand up for my city (Dallas, Texas) and let people know where I'm from and that it's a lot of other guys from Dallas in the NBA right now: Kenyon Martin, Ike Diogu, Kurt Thomas, Deron Williams, Acie Law IV, Lamarcus Aldridge and me! And we have two guys in the Draft this year. Shout out to Anthony Randolph and Darrell "Slim Shady" Arthur.
Most of the time people don't know where players are from, but I want people to know where I'm from because I'm proud to be from the south. You always hear about great ball players from Chicago, New York, D.C., Atlanta and L.A. so now you know about our city. Watch out for us. By the time you know it, we'll be in control of the league!
Dallas, Stand Up!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. Congrats to Barack Obama!!!!!
P.P.S.S - Thursday June 5'th I will be on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno working as a correspondent covering media day and reporting live from game 1 of the NBA Finals! |

I'm On Vacation Right Now |
|
Saturday, 31 May 2008 |
I'm on vacation right now and I was wondering should I be writing any blogs because this falls under work a little bit, but I decided to go ahead and write one. I'm in Jamaica right now and I've been here for around 4 or 5 days (I lost count). My girl bought this trip back in December for me for a Christmas gift. It's just the two of us having a good time and soaking up the sun. It's nice to get away for a little while to chill and not worry about what life brings sometimes.
Yesterday was her birthday so I wanted to do something special for her. The thing with her is,it's not easy to surprise her. It hasn't happened much, if any, because she's too nosy and she's always trying to figure out what's going on. We had a conversation a while back and I told her I would do what no one else has done and surprise her. She didn't want to listen to me and she told me she was going to find out so we just let that be a disagreement. |

What's going on everyone?! I'm back! |
|
Thursday, 15 May 2008 |
What's going on everyone?! I'm back! Sorry for the absense, I've been taking some time off and resting, but I'm back at home in Dallas and its kind of a bittersweet feeling. I'm mean, glad I'm home, but at the same time I still want to play ball. Its all good though, things work out the way they are supposed to when its all said and done. I still watch the playoffs when I feel like it. I only watch it when I feel like it though. All of the series are really starting to shape up now. Detroit is the only team that seems to be going to the next round as of now so every game is exciting. Game 5 is always a big game so every team is on pins and needles trying to get the next one. We'll see what happens. I recently released another video with Blane. He tried catching up with me at my house, but I wasn't there. A few family members of mine were there and I think they scared him away. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up with him and get something done in the near future. He's doing well and has really made a name for himself. I have a few ideas for some more up and coming videos. I'm not going to tell you right now, but they'll be funny. A lot of different things have given me imspiration and I'm going to see if I can make some things come to life. Other than that, I've been trying to clean up around my house and get it nice and organized. It was pretty dusty and I had a lot of things that had to be thrown away, but the job is almost done. Trash can't come fast enough because of all of this junk I have. Someone has to do it though. I'll be blogging a lot more so keep your eyes peeled. I'm jumping back on the forums today to reply to some questions. I know they're going to be some questions from a while back so I have to spend some time getting it done. I'll let you know how its going in a couple of days. |
