The summer's going great so far! |
The summer's going great so far. I haven't blogged in a while so a lot has happened since then. USA Basketball kicked off last week and it went pretty well for myself as well as the whole team. We had practice for three days trying to get back into the flow of basketball. I got to hang out with Dwight Howard again, who is extremely silly if you didn't know. I also hung around Tyson Chandler for the first time. He's a real cool, down to earth guy. It's funny how you think someone might be mean before you talk to them just by the way they look when they're on the court. I wonder how many people think that about me? Kevin Durant was there too and he did well also. He's a cool guy and he's going to be pretty good as he continues to play. I've seen him play on TV, but I didn't know he could shoot the ball that well.
We finshed the mini-camp off with a Blue and White scrimmage in front of a few thousand fans and that went pretty well too. Kobe played pretty good and spoiled the game for my team (The White team). I know that we're all on the same team and we have the same goals, but I wanted to win. It didn't take anything from it though because I still had a great time. I think people really enjoyed it because they told me how much they enjoyed how competitive the game was. I guess everyone thought that it was going to be a game full of show-boating and too many turnovers. I've been working on my house all summer too. It's taken a very long to time to decorate it and put the things that I want to have in it and I've been patient so it'll pay off very soon. I go on vacation in a couple of days and then it's back to work so I can get in shape and ready for the Tournament in Vegas and the season too. When I get back I'll probably go down to Houston and work out with TJ. We can get some shots up and play a lot, because I hear the basketball run is really good in August. It's the second half of summer now so I have to make sure I enjoy all of the free time I have. It'll be time to go back to work before I know it.
