What's going on everyone?! It's officially the second half of the season and I'm pumped and thinking about the playoffs everyday. Every game is really important to us and we've been playing better as a group. And it's great to have my boy T.J. Ford back. He's in shape and playing like he hasn't missed a minute. I know it's been really tough for him and I couldn't imagine playing with that kind of risk, let alone coming back from it. With all of that baggage, he comes and plays the toughest position in basketball every night and he does it very well. That just shows you how strong of a person he is. He deserves an award.
Other than that, time has been short for me the past couple of weeks. I haven't had much to do except play video games and surf the internet on a day to day basis because we're playing pretty much every other day. Call of Duty 4 has been the game of choice lately. My brother bought it for me for Christmas and I finally cracked it open. It's a lot of fun, but it's pretty hard. They just throw you right into the fire at the very beginning of the game. A lot of other games walk you along and give you a lot of easy stages so you can beat them and learn how to play. If I'm at the beginning of Call of Duty, then the rest of the game must be pretty challenging, but there's nothing wrong with a challenge. I also tried out Guitar Hero 3 and it's pretty cool too. I'm not that much into Rock and Roll, but I've been killing the easy stage and I think I'm a beast in training. Maybe one day I'll be playing the guitar for real for some big rock star and entertain thousands of people at a time. Don't worry, if that happens I will definitely give Guitar Hero their props for starting me out.
I also learned a couple of things on the net too because I've been finding a lot of cool new websites. You'll be very surprised of what you can learn by finding it on the internet. Maybe this is only something that fellow geeks can appreciate, but I learned how to stream my video files (DMV, Xvid, or DivX) from my laptop to my XBOX. In more simplistic terms I can watch movies and my recorded TV shows on my TV without DVDs. Isn't that incredible?! Okay, maybe for some of you guys it's not, but I know some people out there appreciate that. Another interesting thing going on is the Democratic race between Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton. I'm from Texas of course and our primary is coming up very soon (March 4th). It's been very interesting watching this election because momentum is such a key factor in it. One minute you can be up and winning every primary in every state and one debate can change all of that. It's kind of like basketball. You can be up the whole game and one mistake can change the momentum of the whole game or series and you can end up losing. I'm voting next week by using an absentee ballot and I can't wait to see who wins it. This is a very important primary for these two candidates. If you're chance to vote is coming up, I think it's very important that you use it. |
